The HKUST Foundation (Foundation), a key player in this endeavor, acts as a bridge between generous donors and the University, actively reaching out to garner support and cultivate goodwill.
With a passionate commitment to promoting HKUST’s vision and values, the Foundation is on a mission to enhance fundraising efforts and engage a diverse community of alumni and stakeholders. The Foundation benefits from the expertise of nine partners and advisors, as well as 17 board members. They provide invaluable advice and support, guiding the Foundation to operate with integrity and foresight, ensuring that every contribution makes a meaningful impact.
The funds raised are crucial for advancing the University’s initiatives— from attracting top talent and fostering research excellence to supporting students and enhancing campus facilities.
“Resources from the private sector are crucial in empowering the University to achieve its objectives,” says Professor Albert IP, Chairman of the Foundation. “Through our Membership Program, we aim to celebrate the generosity of our donors and inspire others to contribute to HKUST’s mission in teaching, knowledge creation, and promoting economic and societal development,” he explains calling on all who share HKUST’s vision to make a positive difference through donations to the University.
In recognition of their generous contributions, the Foundation Board will honor donors through a unique Membership Program featuring tiers based on cumulative contributions since the University’s inception. This initiative not only recognizes their invaluable support but also fosters a sense of community among contributors.
